Strategic foresight is the systematic process of gathering future-relevant information through environmental scanning activities to extrapolate different plausible scenarios that could benefit the strategic development of an organization or nation. Strategic Foresight Capability-building Programs


For our Strategic Foresight capability building programs, we introduce key skills, tools and platforms relevant to both government and industry foresight work in the following 4 programs which are typically tailored to suit the organisation:


    Foresight 101
    This introductory program focuses on identifying signs of change, sense-making and communicating insights. Budding futurists will be exposed to a range of basic tools to get started in their futures journey.


    Foresight 102: Building Futures Toolkit
    This program focuses on uncovering and challenging assumptions and biases in how industry players design and develop products and services to create value. For policy makers, we cover public policy issues in the context of industry oversight and regulations and what it takes to create resilient economies. Participants will come up with a range of possible futures which can be used to generate conversations on emerging issues and manage change to execute projects and initiatives effectively.


    Foresight 201: Scenario Planning Workshop
    In this program, we focus on the scenario planning methodology, from defining the focal concern and driving force analysis to constructing scenario frameworks, scenario-writing and translating scenarios to strategies.


    Foresight 202: Use of AI/Machine learning for Futures Work
    AI is being increasingly leveraged to enhance foresight capabilities by providing more advanced tools for scenario planning and horizon scanning. In this program, we use AI-enabled continuous horizon scanning to identify emerging trends and potential disruptions. This gives organizations and governments a strategic advantage by enabling them to act on opportunities and mitigate threats efficiently.

Zaid Hamzah / Founder & Chief Strategy Officer

Zaid is an AI/data strategist & practitioner specializing in AI in finance & law, AI & data governance & AI in information security. An AI patent holder, his current practice revolves around driving value creation & higher performance through AI-enabled growth strategies. Zaid is currently an Executive Education Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS) School of Computing’s Advanced Computing for Executives centre where he runs programmes on AI Innovation Management, Intellectual Property Rights in AI Innovation & Commercialisation of AI Innovation. He has taught legal AI at the Singapore Management University School of Law. Zaid is deeply involved in AI R&D & innovation. His AI patent relating to risk management in a supply chain context was granted by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore in December 2023. Author of 9 books spanning law, technology, intellectual property & AI, Zaid has over 35 years of professional experience. He has previously served as (i) Microsoft's Director for intellectual property & commercial software; (ii) Senior Legal Advisor to Singtel’s joint venture with Warner Bros & Sony Pictures; (iii) Chief Regulatory Legal & Compliance Officer at publicly-listed Telekom Malaysia; (iv) Associate, Khattar Wong & Partners (Singapore law firm) & (v) Singapore Government service. Zaid has a law degree from the National University of Singapore & completed his Masters in International Relations at the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, Tufts University on a Fulbright scholarship. Zaid’s current professional practice work involves corporate growth strategy & performance management, intellectual asset management & strategic risk management including cybersecurity risk management.


Jonathan Chew / Advisor (AI & Revenue Strategy)

Jonathan is an AI & Revenue Strategist with over 20 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, & Technology. He is the principal behind the brand Brandrev.ai, a consultancy that focuses on implementing strategic executions across multiple industries & domains. Brandrev.ai designs & creates practical AI optimizations across the critical components of sales, marketing, finance, & product development. Jonathan’s digital transformation portfolio includes leading successful deployments of large-scale enterprise MNC projects impacting over 30,000 employees & has spearheaded numerous AI & Data Science initiatives which directly impacted revenue growth & the business bottom line. As a data-driven & technically-proficient strategist who prides himself on technical competence & working with technical teams - his experience enables him to identify & solve complex problems that often remain elusive for less tech-savvy strategists.


JF Koh / Chief AI Engineer

JF is an AI/LLM application developer with a focus on building generative AI applications with large language models (LLMs) & retrieval augmented generation (RAG). In 2024, he completed a year-long AI Apprenticeship Programme at AI Singapore, a training programme backed by Singapore’s National Research Foundation & InfoComm Development Authority of Singapore. Having developed a foundation in AI & machine learning, JF is now focused on the burgeoning domain of generative AI & LLMs. JF wants to build powerful apps for users in this brave new world. JF’s past career was focused on web development with his technology stack covering PHP, Javascript, & MySQL database. He is an experienced entrepreneur, having co-founded Singapore’s first online music startup, Audioload.com, during the first dotcom boom of 1999 to 2001. Professionally, he has dedicated most of his career to full-stack (front-end & back-end) web development, working in freelance & contract roles for various clients, including Oracle Corporation, HP, Fujitsu, Asia-Europe Foundation & Executive Counselling & Training Academy. Since 2021, he has committed to intensive self-learning & continuing lifelong education in the area of AI & machine learning.


KC Wong / Chief Cybersecurity Officer

With over two decades of experience, KC is a cybersecurity enthusiast, blockchain advocate & a tinkerer in AI. Having been in various management positions in Fortune 100 companies, he is now keen to devote his time in his passion of inventing & building products. He had created a Cybersecurity product in 2019 & was successfully acquired in 2022. He is currently Director of Product Development in Cybernatics. Building a next generation XDR-SIEM cybersecurity tool, powered by Machine Learning, to service Governments, Enterprises & SMEs. At the same time, he also founded SAFEhaven Ventures, a start-up that focuses on protecting Web 3.0 users by giving everyone an ultra-secure cold wallet & digital identity solution for free. Besides this, the firm also helps companies with their digital transformation from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0, including how to leverage their data using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Data Analytics to gain a competitive advantage within their own industries. Prior to this, KC had been a cybersecurity consultant to various audit firms in areas like Vulnerability Assessment Penetration Testing, Secure Code Review, Security Monitoring, & led Red Teaming operations on Government, Government-linked & Commercial establishments.

An MBA-qualified and highly-versatile Senior Management Team Member / Geography / Country / Business Unit Head with deep background in B2B, legal, law firm, professional, banking, insurance and FTSE-250 corporates. 20+ years experience working for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), successfully architecting and delivering a series of major £multi-million transformation programmes. In-depth experience working at the intersection of technology, services, legal & professional industry. Collaborative approach to successful transformational leadership, engaging with business stakeholders at CEO / CIO level & 3rd parties, delivering ‘fit for purpose’ solutions, service migration and business change. Experience of driving change management, business transformation, service transition, process change, global GTM strategies, enterprise financial transformation, legal processes and business benefits realization. At TCS, initiated new software and services for the professional services and legal industry, a non-linear growth initiative, which was rolled out in UK/Europe and US. Worked with SAP as Partner to establish a beachhead product with core processes pre-configured industry solution for the Professional Services sector to spearhead global GTM strategy of enterprise financial transformation in this sector (estimated >£100m p.a.) Able to design and execute programme delivery strategies, vision and roadmaps.
